Browse through our website and look at a few properties that are within your budget and to your liking. Decide whether a good location or a good view is more important. Also, decide if you want an apartment, a semi-detached or a detached villa. All of our properties come with a pool, so decide if you want a private pool or if you'd be happy with a communal pool.

Then, fill in our Enquiry Form and request for one of our representatives to contact you for more information. Meanwhile, plan a 3-4 day visit to be our guest so you can view the properties in person, and get a glimpse of what Bodrum has to offer if you already haven't been.

When you decide on the property you want to purchase, you're required to pay a reservation deposit of £2,000/€3,000, in order to take the property off the market. So come prepared! We accept cash, major credit cards and bank transfers.

WHILE BUYING

Retain a solicitor (avukat) who should carry out the title, deed (tapu) checks and other surveys. You would have to sign a Power of Attorney in order for your solicitor to conclude the necessary paperwork. We can gladly refer you to a few reputable solicitors in town who specialize in such legal work and of course who can speak fluent English.

Next, A contract will be drawn up between the you and Homes of Bodrum. This will give details of the property, completion date, payment schedule and terms and conditions. When this is signed by all parties, the first payment is usually paid at this time. *Payment schedules are usually flexible but it of course depends on the development stage of the property. Payments are usually 25/25/25/25 or 30/30/30/10 spread over a 6 month to 2 year time frame. On completed properties 100% maybe required.

You then apply for a security clearance from the military office to allow you to own a property in Turkey. This is mainly just a procedure to ensure the property you are purchasing does not fall in a military restricted area. Some parts of Turkey cannot be purchased by foreigners. However, all of our properties are within a permitted zone. Your solicitor should also be able to help you with this application. After you have received the necessary permission to purchase, your lawyer should carry out pre-completion checks. Following this, you (or your Power of Attorney) will sign a deed of transfer in front of an officer at the Notary office or the Land Registry, who then records you as the official owner of the property. The property tax is paid at this stage
